Jimmy was great this year. It started to rain about 7:00 and end at about 8:00 justbefore Jimmy hit the stage. Then it never rained again! He showed lots of energy in his playing and the Margaritaville Vision really made the show interesting. Good job Jimmy and hope to see you again next year!!!!

This was my 15th JB show and this was a very good one. It rained prior to the show while we were tailgating. It stopped raining just as we were heading in to the amphitheatre and didn't rain again-unlike last year's Raleigh show..Very good set and Jimmy and Coral Reefers were really into it. Much better set than Charlotte two weeks ago..The Parrotheads were really in high gear tonight at this show.

It was a rip-roaring, raucous time in Raleigh last night!!! Very high energy show, lots of tailgate parties, a little rain (it wouldn't be Raleigh without a little rain), conga lines, parrotheads, and...oh yeah...lots of BUFFETT!!! Great show and a great tim

I thought the show was outstanding! The rain quit just before the show started, and we didn't see another drop for the remainder of the evening, (a drastic change from last year!) The energy was there and the show was amazing! Every year the fans leave the show thinking about next years concert - I can't wait for Tour 2000!

Most excellent show, as always. Was very excited to hear 'Ringling, Ringling' and thoroughly enjoyed the duet by the "Reeferettes". Jimmy, as always, was the consummate showman. Even though we got a little much needed rain, it did nothing to dampen the crowd's spirits. Best of all, Jimmy said he had a couple more years in him! FINZ UP

Jimmy Buffett, Raleigh and rain...synonymous for fun. For the second year in a row, I trekked 400 miles south to see “the rainmaker tour” in North Carolina and I am convinced there is a woman to blame (my fiance). But seriously, I have to say this was one of the best shows I have ever seen him do largely due to great renditions of One Particular Harbour, A Pirate Looks At Forty and an amazing Southern Cross. The show this year seemed to reflect the “maturity” (and I use that term loosely) of BHOTM. Yet, Buffett still looks like he’s having the great times of yesteryear and the Parrotheads are still singing right along.
What a surprise when the amazing Tams joined the Coral Reefers on stage for Flesh and Bone... I think Buffett was having as much or more fun than the crowd was at that point. And then the Tams encored during Another Saturday Night (not Love and Luck as previously reported). And my hat is off to Mac’s song... Ass And The Hole is hilarious! And while we are speaking of funny, Buffett was not without his share of jumbled lyrics. The funniest came when he laughed at himself for mixing up some words during Math Suks.
Finally, and someone correct me if I am wrong, I think I heard Buffett make the statement, “we have a couple more years in us.” All in all, a great show. I will see everyone in Cincinnati on August 21.

This was my 5th show, and probably my second favorite. I don't think anything could have topped last year's torrential downpour. Nobody really seemed to mind the rain, and it was great that it stopped right before the show started. Favorites of the night were One Particular Harbour (great version), a kind of unexpected Pencil Thin Mustache, a great Southern Cross cover, and I Will Play For Gumbo sounded great live. The highlight for me personally was being on Margaritavision with my "I Will Drink 4 Gumbo!" sign during CILCIA. All in all, a great show and I can't wait til next year. Also, he commented, and I think I heard it right, that the rest of the shows this year will be on Radio Margaritaville! Can't wait!

This was my 6th show in a row, everyone loves a streak, and I had a great time and loved every minute of every song. I remember a time long ago when not many people knew of Jimmy Buffett and I could never understand why with such great stories being told on those albums. I am glad to see that Buffett is more and more popular every year. DONT STOP THE CARNIVAL PARROTHEADS!

This was the third year in a row that I have seen a Buffett concert. The last two were in Va Beach. This was the best one of the three. Being a casual Buffett fan and only know a few songs(the hits and last two CD's), I was pleased with the selection and the flow of the sets that were played. The band was tight and seem to be having a ball. The addition of Walter was great. The video highlights were well done. Virginia Beach is a lay back area compared to the party animals in the Raleigh area. A lot of fun for a lot of people.

"The Rainmaker Tour is back in town" is how Jimmy intro'd the evening. True, it was raining during the pre-concert festivities. No Club Trini
BUT, Jimmy more than made up for that with a very energetic, fast paced show. I had seen virtually the same set list at the Saturday June 12th show in Manassas. I could not believe the difference in the energy. Rain references were numerous, but it was delightful to hear Jimmy yelp as an into to Stars on the Water "Can this be Raleigh? I can actually see the sun. Well, maybe we can see some Stars tonight, finally". The joke with our PH club throughout the day was that "Oh, Jimmy's plane must've landed, it's starting to rain".
Anyway....seeing The Tams again (Charlotte, too) was terrific. The Margaritavision close ups of the Tams baritone singing "Flesh & Bone" were wonderful and the crowd was extremely appreciative of The Tams being on stage. Radio Margartaville played "Under the Boardwalk" during intermission and the crowd was just singing loudly along. Note- it is neat to hear how Steve Huntington customizes intermission music for each venue. We also heard "Goin' To Carolina In My Mind" by James Taylor. Ditto for Charlotte, But not Manassas.
I enjoyed the fact that songs from BHOTM were sprinkled liberally throughout the show. It seems most people actually knew about the new CD. A definate departure from years past. Enjoyed the fact that Fins/Volcano/M'ville have been split up. Also, I think ending the show (b4 encores) with One Particular Harbor is a terrific idea! Note- on OPH, the crowd starts singing the chorus as soon as the Reefers break into it, not waiting on Jimmy to start anymore. This was true for Charlotte & Manassas too. As for Math Sucks- this is quinessential Buffett. The silly song. I say play it every night! People are making signs and chanting for it. Another personal preference of mine if Pacing The Cage. I much prefer this over Oysters & Pearls. The applause Jimmy gets during the verse "I never knew what you all wanted, so I gave you everything" is so heartfelt from the crowd. Seeing his reaction is worth it. No question. What an evening, what a show! Terrific as always!

Review : This was my 17th Buffett show including a show in Key West and I think it was the 2nd best I have ever seen. (Last yrs in Ral. in the downpour was the greatest show ever.) Great set list including Ringling, Ringling. I think that song just shows the wide variety of this year's show. All of the classics plus an outstanding version of One Particular Harbour.(My favorite Buffett song-If you can actually pick just one) Coming from a guy who has an English degree I love Math Suks as an encore was great but I did miss Buffett covering Carolina In My Mind.
