who knew so many options?
I guess it's about time a BNer submits the Parrothead's use of the acronym, none of the ones listed sounded like as much fun.
I still think she pored a little too much Tequilla into it last nite though, or maybe just not enough ice!

My assumption from the start was Frozen Concoction Machine, but who knows, maybe I'm wrong!

I just asked a guy I know who was a TSA general mgr. He said it all depended on the Xray operator and their supervisor really. Most big airports would probably let it slip by with no issues, but some of the smaller ones would be more sticklers to details.. namely the 'blades' in the item. The motor would draw some investigation as it would show up very readily and they probably would open the bag to investigate further.

I think (and he agreed) its not very likely for someone to use a 400.00 margarita machine as a weapon, so some common sense SHOULD prevail with the agents.

Boy, aint THAT the truth!!

Oh the original poster might want to sport a Hawaiian shirt to sell the "total package". After all .. if you're heading out of FL, I bet it would be easier with a Margaritaville FCM than heading out of, say... Indiana!!

the limiting factor is probably the size of it. does it fit within the airline's carry on luggage dimensions?

I guess both Richmond AND Chigago are "big" aiports then...last year on my big adventure I unknowingly carried by pocket knife in purse through both airports, both ways and no one said a word.

Well to be frank, the TSA checkpoints are mostly just a deterrent and psychological re-assurance thing anyway.

We just went to/from Mexico & my (80 y/o) Mom had a metal fingernail file in her purse. It got through US Security, but Mexican Security took it away.
