I have a question regarding the Jerry Jeff Walker / Jimmy Buffett show at the Stephen Talkhouse from 2002. I've posted it on several tape trading sites, but never received a satisfactory answer so I thought I'd try here. I have a copy of this show as it was broadcast on Radio Margaritaville over the internet (pre-Sirius). It is full of clicks, pops, and dropouts as webcasts tend to be. It is one of my favorite recordings and I'd love to find an upgraded copy. My question is when this show was rebroadcast on Sirius, did it still contain the original defects from the internet broadcast (that is are these in the source material) or was this version cleaner? Thanks.

Hmm, sorry I can't help you with your question, I wouldnt be surprised if someone here has a copy of that though. I can however welcome you to the BN forums!!..

I think that's one of the shows RM is replaying over the Memorial Day holiday. That's your chance to grab a recording, or at least see if it's better than the one you have.

Oh, goody, Chip! Glad you posted that. I looked for what would be on when I heard that we were getting a whole weekend of shows.

I have heard that show and it starts off with a lof of crowd noise in the foreground and then JJ gets louder as they adjust the microphones or sound. No real noticeable clicks and pops tho. The one you hear over the weekend should be a good one. That was a funny show. I remember when Jimmy joked about Jerry Jeff's parents. Also when Jerry Jeff plays the beer bottle on OPH, one of Jerry Jeff's favorites. Or am I thinking about another show or song? Jimmy was late arriving and did a standup comic routine with Jerry Jeff. They are magic together. Lots of banter.
