Good day everyone
my apologies for posting this here if this is not the correct place ( feel free to move it)
Has anyone else been recently experiencing problems logging to Radio Marg via the web using Windows Media Player? I have the latest version and recently have been experiancing the following; click to launch, connecting to site message, then Done but doesn not play. It would repeat with the same result. I could not listen all day yesterday ( July 1st)
Ideas? Comments?
Gary in Montreal

Yup,
The last few days it's been terrible... no luck at all using either Real Player or Windows. Had to actually listen to "other stuff"...
maybe Canadians are blocked?

nope, it's not a Canadian problem, as I've had the same issues here just south of the Border...thought it might be the firewall here at work, and had to use my Sirius account to log on....but today it appears to be working. I'm curently listening via Windows Media Player

I think there is something wrong with the underlying URL link in the iTunes radio entries (both bit rates). When I take those URLs and try to open them directly with iTunes or Windows Media Player or Real Player, they are invalid. That would be something for Apple to fix.
EDIT: Lots of discussion of this specific issue over here on the Apple Support forum, but unfortunately no resolution. I've begun responding wherever I see this discussed to show it isn't a small problem. Others might want to as well.

Thanks for all the responses - for a while I thought I was alone with this issue.
just a note ....I went over to the Sirius.com site as was reading through the FAQ - lo and behold one of the hiccups that one can experiance on line is exactly what we have all just described....a possible connection?...perhaps we are gently being nudged to subscribe to Sirius?..just paranoia speaking...

This might be a firewall problem. I was having a problem connecting to another online music station with WMP. I turned off my Norton firewall and the problem was solved

I tend to feel that way, too!

Been thinking in the same direction, although I turned mine off and it didn't help. Might be specific ports.....

I had the problem when I tried to log in on the rm websight. Later I logged in from the Margaritaville.com websight and had no problem. Not sure what that means but that was my experience.

Could be, but I don't use Norton, and I've had problems with RM off/on for several months.
Hate to hear that there are problems now through the iTunes source as well.

New iMac user....btw love it. BUT........can't listen to RM in iTunes either.
I never could listen via our pc either but didn't matter because of WMP.
So any of you Mac users ever figure out how or what the problem is??
Appreciate any help.
