iTunes and Live Nation Team Up for Concert Downloads

Um, I think I'd like Live Nation, as well as Ticketmaster, to stay away from my live music. While I'm all for forward progress and I'm sure folks like SunLover around here could regain hours of their lives, the collaborative effort of RM and Parrotheads works just fine without all of the sure to be seen "complications" of organizations like this getting involved! :o

Earlier this month, EMI discussed plans to potentially offer concert goers digital recordings of the show on CD, DVD, or digital device as they leave the venue.

Starting today, live performances from Live Nation wired venues appear on iTunes (iTunes), available as either audio or video — depending on the show.
I don't know. A potential Live Audio/Video of the concert you just saw available for purchase as you exit the venue?

Sounds like a smart marketing move.

we've discuused that in another thread before....I'd love having a DVD of the shows I go to...showing essentially what and who makes the big screen.

Certainly would be a smart marketing move. And knowing how I collect the audio of shows I've been to, I would likely consider a DVD purchase. That said, not sure the video editing could realistically be done as I'm exiting the venue. Audio, yes. But, heck. I have the audio on my own iPod for enjoyment wherever I go the next day as it is now......

Genisis did this a couple of years ago, I think it was only for audio and I don't think you got it that night. I didn't buy it either way..
