Hot Buttered Rum.....

Not really a "Boat Drink" but for those of us in the frozen parts of the country.....it is a heated concoction that helps me hang on!
1 stick butter, softened
2 cups dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Dark rum
Boiling water
Directions
In a bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
Put 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture (depending on the size of the mug)....add some boiling water, stir until mixture disolves.
Add as much rum as you like or can tolerate.......fill the rest of the mug (assuming there is room) with more boiling water....stir....and enjoy.
I keep a container of this in the fridge at all times........the spices taste better after the second day!
