Very scary, especially with how dry you've been!
My friend down in The Springs had a similar fire-fright... this one caused by idiotic neighbors and fireworks! They set their grass and a wooden fence on fire. The blaze was about to jump to their neighbor's house, but luckily, the CSFD got it out just in time!
YIKES!! Is right. Cameron and I were still shocked we didn't hear any fireworks overnight. Finally SOME people heeded the warnings.

I was born a racecar driver
Only for a short while. But, it was a rare empty straightaway on 95 (the two lane part) before I hit the slog eventually.

LOL!!!! And I was NOT.
And the term "slog" is NOT one we used in Illinois (where I lived for 16 years) or Colorado (where I've almost lived for 60).
